The Legacy of the Reliable IBM 4247 Printer
For many years, IBM sold the IBM InfoPrint 4247 printers and customers assumed that they were actually built by IBM. The fact is, they never were really "BUILT BY IBM"; they were all manufactured to IBM's specifications by the Italian company Compuprint. Industrial printers from IBM and InfoPrint, including the 4247, were discontinued in 2011 when Ricoh shut down InfoPrint general office printer sales.
The Compuprint 4247 printer models deliver high-speed, reliable printing for exceptional productivity at an attractive price. The 4247-model L03, X03 and Z03 prints up to 600 characters per second. model L03 printers up to 1100 characters per second and the 4247-Z03 up to 1100 characters per second. Constructed with durable metal and plastic to help protect your investment, the 4247 can handle the rigorous printing environments of manufacturing, transportation and distribution industries.
